We are now offering classes for men!

Manteca Sportsmen offers a series of introductory classes especially designed for new shooters. Classes are taught by instructors who make the class fun and friendly. For beginner classes all safety equipment, firearms, and ammunition is provided. If you have your own firearm and wish to learn how to use, please fell free to bring it to the course. Once beginning skills have been mastered, Intermediate and Advanced classes are also offered. The courses are partially funded by the Friends of the NRA and courses are offered at a very modest cost.

Men’s Pistol I Class:

$10 for men who have never shot before or have limited experience with handguns. Learn the very basics, how revolvers and semi-autos work. Learn how to stand, sight, and shoot .22 caliber automatics and 38 caliber revolvers in a safe secure environment. We provide the guns, ammunition, eye & ear protection. Wear closed toe shoes and high necklines. You may bring your own revolver/automatic and ammunition to shoot it after the class with help from one of our competent instructors.

Men’s Pistol II Class:

$10 for men who have completed Pistol I. This class picks up where Pistol I left off. Bring your own pistol and ammunition, or usen a “class” 9mm or .40 caliber automatic. Learn how different models operate. Practice shooting a little faster and at farther ranges.

We provide eye & ear protection and a “class” automatic if needed. Wear closed toe shoes and high necklines.

Men’s Pistol III Class:

$10 for men who completed Pistol I & II. This class picks up where Pistol II left off. Bring your own pistol, ammunition and at least 2 magazines or speed loaders. We shoot steel targets and let you experience the difference between .38 Special and .357 Magnum.

Learn the very basics of tactics, how to “slice the pie”, how to properly open doors, and how to handle and intruder in your home. We provide eye & ear protection if needed. Wear closed toe shoes and high necklines.

Mixed Shotgun 1 Class:

$10 to anyone who has never shot before or have limited experience with shotguns. Learn the very basics, how different actions work. Learn how to stand, sight, and shoot 12-gauge shotguns in a safe secure environment. We provide the guns, ammunition, eye & ear protection. All you have to do is show up. Wear closed toe shoes and high necklines. You may bring your own shotgun and ammunition for it.
