Well it was quite the windy day at the range. We had to cinch down our hats and anchor all the rugs and saddle blankets. Except for a bit of grit in our smiles, we had a fun day. Congrats to Southpaw Gringo who was our top shooter for the day. None of us managed a clean match although Southpaw and Shenandoah came real close. Our next Wild Bunch match will be Sunday Dec 6th. Hope to see ya then.

Howdy everyone,
Thanks to all who came out to play today We had a great day at the range, a nice change in the weather that actually showed promise of fall/winter. A big welcome to Tequila Kev who shot his 1st cowboy match today.
We had 4 shooters that shot the match clean – Highball Pendleton, Sintree Tulait, Shenandoah, and Dragon. Good job guys.
We’ll be back out tomorrow for Wild Bunch. If ya wanna come shoot and haven’t signed up, just let me know.. There’s room for ya.
Our next cowboy match will be Sunday the 22nd. Rum Walker and I won’t be there, but Dragon will be running the match and handling advance registration. If you plan on attending that match please email him at williammather@com with your alias and category. Thanks.

Howdy all,
Thanks to all the folks who came and joined us at the range today. It was sure nice to have the cooler weather, it actually felt like fall. Congrats to Deadeye Maverick who was the overall winner and Not So Deadeye Maverick who was the top lady shooter. They were visiting from S. Ca and joined us for our match.
Clean match pins went to Rum Walker, Southpaw Gringo, Dragon, Twisted Dog, and Two Dogs Grant. Good shooting guys.
Our next cowboy match will be Sat Nov 7th and wild bunch will be on the 8th.
Don’t forget to vote !!
On that note, elections for Manteca Sportsmen Inc officers and board of directors is also on Dec 1st at the general meeting. The meeting starts at 730 at the main clubhouse. Those of you who are MSI members should plan to attend and vote. We currently have 2 cowboy shooters on the board and doing a great job. They also are active in other areas of the club. We would like to see them continue in their positions. It’s great to have our venue represented on the board.

Hello MSI Members,
The following email was sent out thursday afternoon regarding the Installation Dinner that was originally scheduled for this saturday, the 16th:
With the newly re-issued stay at home order from the governor, our installation dinner has been cancelled. If and when things improve on the Covide-19 front we can re-schedule.
For now the dinner is cancelled.

RANGE SAFETY OFFICER CLASS SCHEDULED
PLEASE TELL YOUR FRIENDS
Manteca Sportsmen Inc. is sponsoring an NRA Range Safety Officer class Saturday, Feb 20, 2021 from 9am to 6pm.
The course, to be held in the Old Clubhouse, will be limited to 14 students. After you successfully complete the training, NRA will issue your Range Safety Officer Certification
NRA Instructor, Club member and Chief Range Safety Officer Richard “Dick” Reizner will lead the class sharing his 60 plus years of shooting experience. Dick said, “While the information the class provides is important, the RSO’s attitude in passing it on is what really makes the range safe for shooters.”
Fees:
MSI Memeber: $35*
Non MSI Member: $150
*Club members who volunteer as RSOs for 12 hours will receive a refund of the $35 cost of materials.

Thanks to ya’ll who braved the smoky skies and came out to make em smokier.
We had a good match with scenarios written by Wolf Taylor. Four accurate shooters left the range with clean match pins today – Rum Walker, J.W Trader, Sintree Tulait, and the birthday boy Shenandoah, who had to endure our singing.
We’ll be at the range tomorrow for the wild bunch match. Our next cowboy match will be Sunday the 25th. See ya on the range.

Well pards, we had a good turnout today for our match. Thanks to everyone for coming out to play and for all the help on the range. I love the team work that makes this game work.
Congrats to Coyote Carson who was our fastest shooter today. We had several folks that shot the match clean – Coyote Carson, Badman Bob, Rum Walker, Doxie Mae Azwell, Dragon, and Highball Pendleton who was shooting only his 2nd cowboy match Great job.
Our next cowboy match will be this coming up Saturday Oct 3rd, and wild bunch on Sunday. Please send me an email if you’re planning on coming to those matches.
