Dear Long Rifles,
We had a fairly successful rendezvous considering the negative weather reports during most of last week, the wind on Friday, and fog on Sunday. We had about 60 shooters in all. As stated in my last post, we converted the rifle and pistol trail scores to 200 and 50 point scales, respectively, for those who paid the extra $5 to have this count as an aggregate shoot. There were 38 points possible on the rifle trail, including the two for period dress, which means each successful shot counted for 5.26 points on the 200 point scale. The successful pistol shots counted 1.92 each (26 possible). Raw scores were rounded to the nearest whole number to get the aggregate scores. The results, with the raw scores in parentheses:
|Tony Abbott||168 (32)||12 (6)||108||108|
|Bob Barker||132 (25)||6 (3)||138||138|
|Mark Barley||137 (26)||0 (0)||137||137|
|Fred Jones||147 (28)||0 (0)||147||147|
|Jerry Smith||105 (20)||0 (0)||105||105|
Our next shoot will be Saturday, February 9, commencing at 10:00 a.m.
